He previously appeared in the horrendous Shadow PlayĮpisode from last season but he's in a far better episode this time. This is the second appearance for the always reliable John Vernon and he's excellent as usual as Dexter, the villain, which of course is nothing new for him since he ALWAYS plays villains. This one is about an imposter of Joe being created so the imposter can steal some jewels from Joe's client in London. Johnny Gundersen: We kept away from people. Joe Mannix: How about out in the desert, did you run across anybody at all? Joe Mannix: Isn't there somebody who'll miss you? Somebody at the place where you get the supplies? ![]() I guess you'd call us a couple of loners. Karin Gundersen: And I'm afraid nobody's waitin' on us. Johnny Gundersen: There's a machete, pick and shovel, drills. Johnny Gundersen: Nothing special that I can think of anyways. Joe Mannix: That jeep of yours, does it have any special equipment? Weapons or anything? You are too, right? Johnny and I, about all we can do is just listen to you and try to help if there's any way. They're not going to leave anybody around to point out their trial. ![]() Johnny Gundersen: When they get that boodle, they won't need us anymore, right? Joe Mannix: I know it's hard to believe, but it is happening. ![]() You just don't run into that sort of thing scratching around the Paiute mountains. Stealing a couple of a million dollars somewhere in England. Johnny Gundersen: I guess I'm slowin' down.
